Headlight Beam Types
There are typically two different types of headlight beams within a single headlight unit of a vehicle, low beams and high beams. When a driver activates their headlights they will normally only need to use the low beam headlights of their vehicle, since it provides ample light for most scenarios. However, when the conditions are too dark or too difficult to see in, a driver may opt to use their high beam headlights. The high beam headlights add an additional stream of light to the low beam headlights and are positioned so that the lights can extend the reach of the headlights.
