About Campbell Chevrolet
Joe Campbell was born and raised in Cave City, Kentucky. He attended Moorehead State University on a basketball/baseball scholarship and later served in the United States Marine Corps.
In June 1964 Joe was drafted by professional baseball's New York Mets and later also played with the Chicago Cubs.
Joe made his home in Bowling Green in the late 1960s where he began working with General Motors. Joe purchased the Chevrolet dealership in Bowling Green in 1981.
Joe is very active in the southcentral Kentucky community, as well as at Western Kentucky University. He was an officer in the Gold Medal Chevy Dealer Group and served on the National Dealer Council for two years.
Joe has passed the day-to-day operations to his son, Troy. As general manager, Troy continues the Campbell tradition of "doing business with a handshake and a smile."
